Living Studios is honored to be featured in We Are All Sounds of Other Sounds, an upcoming exhibition at the Salem Art Association’s Focus Gallery, running July 10 through August 30, 2026. The exhibition will open with a reception and artist introduction on Friday, July 10, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
As a progressive art studio and gallery of Cornerstone Associates, Inc., Living Studios supports neurodiverse artists and artists with disabilities through mentorship, professional creative opportunities, and meaningful community collaboration. The program is built around the belief that art is not only an individual practice, but also a shared language—one shaped by relationship, access, memory, advocacy, and care.
We Are All Sounds of Other Sounds highlights the rich history of Living Studios’ community-based and advocacy-centered work. The exhibition will include archival objects, artifacts, and materials from collaborative projects such as BirdWatchers, Project Easy Access, Voices From Home, and contributions to Our Fairview… Together, these works reflect the many ways Living Studios artists have participated in conversations about disability, belonging, creativity, and public life.
Over the years, Living Studios has built a wide-reaching creative presence through exhibitions, festivals, and partnerships across Oregon and beyond, including collaborations with universities, cultural institutions, and community organizations. The artists’ work has also been recognized as part of the permanent collection at the Hallie Ford Museum of Art in Salem.
This exhibition is both a celebration and an invitation. It celebrates the artists, staff, collaborators, and community members who have helped shape Living Studios into a space of experimentation, dignity, and creative exchange. It also invites visitors to consider how art carries the voices of many people at once—how every image, object, and project can become an echo of shared experience.
