  • Rodger Hancock

character illustration & the number 41

Rodger Hancock is a Living Studios regular. He has been working with us for long enough that we have been able to witness his style change and evolve several times over. If you haven't seen Rodger's recent work, he likes to create with blue and purple markers, filling pages with lines, marks, and letters. Rodger fixates on his art. When he finds a new theme, he makes stacks and stacks of artwork exploring it. We are not sure what feeds his different fascinations, but we know he delights in discovering them.

Rodger Hancock's work is often ephemeral. When he finished a drawing, he may dissect it into pieces, which he may add to a larger collage or share with other artists in the studio to collaborate with. Rodger likely has a mark in every collaborative work at Living Studios because he is always creating and sharing with other artists.
