Doreen Beckstead is an artist at our Salem location. She is inspired by figures from classic shows and media, including the television series Magnum PI, Night Rider, Jeopardy, and Chips. Doreen has been exploring different artistic mediums with the continued subject of the shows. She has made a zine, ceramic sculptures, binders, and many paintings and drawings with different mediums all surrounding Tom Selleck and Magnum PI since beginning her work with us. We are excited to continue to work with her and see how her body of work grows.
Doreen's most recent artist statement: "I like Magnum PI. It's my favorite. He catches criminals. TC is his partner and flies the helicopter. Magnum has a cool car and I like him because he's a joker."
