Sovereign Subterraneans (recent work from the Corvallis Daytime Drop-In Center) consists of an array of mediums, some of which have yet to be classified. In response to this work, one indicidual uses the phrase "postmodern Folk art" trash demon sculptures. Each individual portrays life through their lens as an outcast or a fugitive in an allegorical sense, teeming with subtext. If anyone were to see the faces behind the works, they may not expect to see these beautiful landscapes painted by human experience, in inhuman conditions.

Works shown in Sovereign Subterraneans are made by artists experiencing houselessness. As guests at the Drop-In Center, these artists receive life resources and navigational support and also have a place to express and heal in an intricate artistic community. Thanks to the efforts of the CDDC community and its supporters, art supplies are provided and set out for anyone to work with, along with potential storage space for artworks, opportunities to show and sell the work in exhibitions like this one, and potential for artistic collaborations between artists. Thank you to all of the wonderfully creative people at Corvallis Daytime Drop-In Center for making this show happen and advocating for artists everywhere!
