Show of Hands

an exhibition featuring work by artists working at Living Studios (Cornerstone Associates)

broken image

A Show of Hands is a collection of artwork made by the artists who work at Living Studios (Cornerstone Associates), including Jill R. Baker, Angel Black, Bruce Burris, Michelle Canon, Kelsey Hamilton Davis, Quinlan Elise, and Sean McDermott. Though the mediums and subjects vary immensely from artist to artist, it isn’t hard to find a thread that runs between them. Through exploration, inspiration, and adaptation, the works have a conversation with Living Studios. What is learned from Living Studios is taken back with the artists to their own practices, and what they teach and who they inspire is woven into the larger fabric of Living Studios and the broader artistic community. Each work is connected by a constant flow between work and practice, inspiration and inspiring, and giving and taking.
