Sharing of Values

Good Cooking...Lovey Dovey...Grand Maw Shrine

· Projects,Art Events

Enshrine (Art’s Alive! online festival hosted by The Arts Center)

About Cornerstone's: “sharing of values… good cooking… lovey dovey… grand maw shrines”
Cornerstone’s virtual art workshop community has been involved in the process of creating “sharing of values… good cooking… lovey dovey… grand maw shrines” over the past month. During this period, we explored some of the various many ways in which shrines are created and used worldwide. Eventually we settled on one shape… a house the shape of which has many connotations and is even more poignant as many who participated are due to the pandemic, limited to their own homes.

Most of the word associations occurred during spirted sessions in which both random and specifically chosen words placed were in correspondence to each other with an occasional unplanned placement… for the fun of it.In addition to being an exciting project, these word plays created opportunities for us to create new friends, spend time creatively and participate in a true community activity. Our virtual talent: Bev, Patrick, Ryan, Alex, Pierre, Corrie, Zina, Daniel, Shawna, Greg, Mike, AnnaCornerstone’s virtual art workshops occur weekdays 9-11am and 2-3pm.
